Barring any last second entries, last week we have one winner! Congrats 6cyl! You are now in first place with a single point! For winning last week, please submit your choice of car/track layout for next week.

For week 2, I thought we would do something special. How about the debatably most famous Jalopnik car ever? No it's not a miata, nor is it a brown diesel wagon... it's a bright yellow VW Beetle!

The track this week is Test Track Airfield-Airfield Circuit

For modifications, anything is allowed, so long as it is a D-Class beetle. If you want a pretty sweet build, look up Oppo Week 2 for what I was using.

The time to beat? 1:11.603 (don't be intimidated by the rank... it's an unpopular class/track)

Ugh.... I competed in exactlytwo Group J races with Fourza. Technically I was a part of it for two seasons, but after building my second car (a Volvo sponsored by PornHub and nothing else) I missed out on every race. The ones that I did do in the previous season resulted in two last place finishes, with at least a lap and a half between me and the person ahead of me, and I maaaay have had a brainfart after spinning, forgot to downshit, and caused someone to slam into me as I was mindlessly hogging the track wondering why my acceleration was so slow.
I did lead my first race for a couple seconds after starting, though! That's mostly because I got to start the race in the front... Or at least that's what I remember happening.
ANYWAY, all I'm saying is I want 5 so badly... I wanna race with you guys agaiiinnnn.

Pro tip, don't go wide on the first corner, there is a bump that gives you a dirty lap.

Step 1: Acquire xbox one+Forza 5
Step 2: Purchase VW beetle
Step 3: Tune beetle for D-Class, or search/download oppo week 2 tune.
Step 4: Set and post a lap time around test track before midnight on monday next week.

Well one-three were pretty obvious lol. I've been working on it all day and that tune is the stuff but I'm still not able to beat that time....

Some hints
-Brake early turn 1, third gear
-First double gate, take the right
-Second double gate take the left
-try to hold as much speed through the building as possible by lining the corner up as soon as possible.
-If you follow a perfect line, you don't need to left off the gas till the hard right, however you don't need perfect to post a time, left off the throttle if you are gonna get in trouble.
-brake early for the last turn, feathering the throttle and maintaining as much speed as possible.

I have been bombing around in a r class atom lately, my present tune is terribad, understeers at the limit and has horrendous oversteer when taken easy.
